CALL TO ORDER 2. ROLL CALL Chairman Ben Wagner congratulated Board Members Nikki Hughart and Alice Haldeman for their reappointment to the Board. Present 6- Chairperson Ben Wagner,Board Member Ed Corn,Board Member Nikki Hughart,Board Member Russell Baugher,Board Member Alice Haldeman and Board Member Sherry Lester Absent 3- Board Member Glenn Barnhill,Jeff Lariscy and Dan Koehler Also Present 2- Shontella Jackson and Kevin Pogany 3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion was made by Board Member Ed Corn, second by Board Member Sherry Lester to approve the minutes of the Citizen Code Enforcement Board meeting of November 13, 2014. Present 8- Board Member Ed Corn,Chairperson Ben Wagner,Board Member Alice Haldeman, Board Member Sherry Lester,Board Member Nikki Hughart,Shontella Jackson,Kevin Pogany and Board Member Russell Baugher Absent 3- Board Member Glenn Barnhill,Jeff Lariscy and Dan Koehler 4. SWEARING IN OF WITNESS Sworn in were Code Officer Kevin Pogany. 5. OLD BUSINESS-PUBLIC HEARING The agenda was amended therefore this items was moved down on the agenda and the New Business was presented. 6. NEW BUSINESS -PUBLIC HEARING a. Case# 14-109284 Citation#5885 (Pogany) Marguerite Wallace -2718 Yule Tree Dr. Sec. 10-80 Outdoor storage Chairman Ben Wagner read the following cases and concluded that it appears after reviewing the cases no one was present for any of the cases mentioned above. Pursuant to Section 10-348 and 10-345 subparagraph C 11 of the Code of Ordinance and the statement that appears on the respected citation issued that failure to appear at this hearing means that alleged violator has waived any rights to contest the violation and that an order can be made against them for the maximum applicable penalties that include but are not limited to the administrative cost, fines, daily fines and liens, however we have the benefit of the staff recommendations, motions, and actions to be taken by the Board. A motion was made by Board Member Ed Corn, second by Board Member Nikki Hughart, to find in violation and to follow the staff recommendation. The MOTION was APPROVED by the following vote: Yes: 6- Sherry Lester,Alice Haldeman,Ben Wagner,Ed Corn,Nikki Hughart,and Russell Baugher A brief recess was called due to some techincal problems. Meeting Paused After resolving the technical issue the meeting was called back to order. Meeting Resumed 4. OLD BUSINESS-PUBLIC HEARING a. Case#14-109034 B Citation#5277 (Koehler) Karla Simpkins-2903 Tamarind Dr. Sec. 10-234 Doors A motion was made by Board Member Nikki Hughart, second by Board Member Corn to find in violation of Sec. 10-234 doors and inform her that she has two weeks from today to correct the violation or the fine and daily fines will start the following the two week grace also a lien will be placed on the property. Requested staff to hand delivery the notice and offer recommendation to the respondent. CODE COMPLIANCE REPORT Code Officer Kevin Pogany presented the Board with the following stats: 86 new cases, 73 resolved, 36 courtesy notice, and 4 citations. Code Supervisor Jeff Lariscy stated that the advertisement for a Board Attorney only received one applicant and zero for magistrate. 8. PUBLIC COMMENTS 9.
