1. CALL TO ORDER
2. ROLL CALL
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular meeting of February 26, 2014
4. REPORTS:
A. Economic Development/Events Coordinator Update — regarding past processes to establish
Edgewater as a Blue Water Paddling Community and current activities in process to set blue
water trails and/or hiking trails.
B. Contractor installing Pedestrian Bridge over 442 and trail to Rotary Park (Mark Porter and Rob
Pollack)to report on current schedule and progress of the bridge and trail.
5. CONTINUED BUSINESS:
A. Compile a list of businesses that would benefit from, and may help fund, ecotourism in
Edgewater and promotion of the same.
B. List locations to place brochures regarding Ecotourism activities in Edgewater.
C. Discuss"wayfinding" signage and the process of determining:
• targeted locations to guide people to
• process of funding signs
• locations to place signs
• how to progress installation of signs
D. Report on next step in support of Edgewater becoming a Blue Water Paddling Community and
timeframe.
E. Compile a list of groups that would be interested in participating in Echotour activities and
contact methods for those groups. Purpose to invite participants to help develop opportunities
and activities that would augment Edgewater's existing plans.

A. Establish a list of current Eco-touristic activities that Edgewater and Volusia County currently
support as Eco-tourism and develop language that Edgewater could incorporate into presentations
and printed advertising for Ecotourism in Edgewater.
B. Plan to invite groups identified in S.E. (kayaking and paddleboarding groups) to determine the
amount of interest in establishing paddling trails and pursuing to make Edgewater a Blue Water
Paddling Community.
C. Discuss how to conduct the next monthly meeting on the water or have a paddle after abbreviated
meeting.
