138 • ORDINANCE NO. /3 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TITLE AND SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 137 OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWAT :R, ILORIDA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 137 of the Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: Section 1. That before any application for Town Business License is granted and before any application for transfer of Town Business License is granted, it shall be the duty of the Town Clerk of said Town of Edgewater, Florida to present such application to the next succeeding meeting, regular or special, of the Town Council and no such Town Business License shall be issued by the Town Clerk, and no such Town Business License shed be transferred by the Town Clerk unless and until the application for such license or for such transfer shall have been approved by said Town Council. SECTION 2. That Section 2 or Ordinance No. 137 of the Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: / P 7 Section 2. That the Town Council shall have the power to reject or disapprove any application for such Town Business License for good and sufficient cause and the Town Council sbAll have the power to reject or disapprove any application for the transfer of any Town Business License for any good and sufficient cause, provided that in the event of such disapproval or rejection, the applicant shall have the privilege of appear- ing before the Town Council at a time and place to be fixed by said Town Council, and then and there to show cause, if any, why such licenses should be issued to such appli- cant or why such licenses should be trans- ferred to such applicant, at which hearing such applicant shall have the privilege of being represented by Counsel. SECTION 3. That the title of Ordinance No. 137 of the Town of Edgewater, Volusia County, r'lorida, be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows: AN ORDINAiNCE REQUIRING THE APPROVAL OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF ALL APPLICATIONS FOR T(WJN BUSINESS LICENSES AND OF ALL APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSFERS OF TOWN BUSINESS LICENSES. SECTION 4. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in 9 conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the 12th day of June, A. D. 1946. Upon Motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived, and this Ordinance was ordered put upon its final passage.
