BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TO'-'r COUNCIL OF TII±: TOIN OF EDG Pluf T' TT, FLC-_ ;A.:
Section 1. The rates hereinafter set forth in this section
are hereby fl:ed r_.d prescribed, and it is hereby declared to
be unlawful for any person, Private cor corc.tion or municipal
corporation furnishing electricity within the TO-71 of Edgewater,
1 Florida, for liTh_t, heat, or Leo•:;3r, to charge or collect or
attempt to collect any __tes for the sale of such electricity
in excess of those hereinafter set forth in this section.
Residential Service
lTolication:
For ser-v ice for all domestic purposes in private residences
and individually metered apartment units.
Character of Service:
Single phase, 115/230 volts, 3 ;:d.re or 115 volts, 2 wire
depending upon Customer' s reeuirements. Three phase, 230 volt
service to be furnished under special arrangements.
Monthly Rate:
zl. 25 which entitl s Customer to us 14 kv,h.

Tax Adjustment, - Plus the a��plicable or:ro

of any taxes and assessments imposed by any govermental authority
(other than the supplier) in excess of those in effect January 1,
1937, which are assessed on the basis of meters or customers or
the ;rice of or revenues from electric energy or service sold or
the volume of energy generated or Purchased for sale or sold.
Inflation Adjustment, - In order to tsl:e care of extreme
increases in cost in the event of inflation there shall be added
to the above rate of.1% for each 1% increase in cost of oil
over $2.00 a barrel (or "`?.00 Per 6,300,000 Btu, if fuel used is
other than oil) ba=yed on the average cost of fuel used in the
supplier' s plant or plants during the next preceding month.
Excess Capacity Charge: For eachv of Demand in excess
of 10, add 11. 75. The kw- of Demand is the average kw suaPlied
during the 15-minute period of rya -_n um use during the current
month.
General Service
Ap_)licati on:
For lighting, combined lighting and ,:e co ,r �a ,- other purposes,
but not applicable to service for all domestic in private
residences and in_di .-iduall-y metered apartment units.
Character Of Service:
Single er three phase, 50 cycles, aid at any available stand
voltage.

Monthly Rate:
tl. 25 which entitles Customer to use 14 kwh
4. 5X per kwh for the next 750 kwh, '
•0 per kwh for the next 3,000 kwh,
2.0X per kwh for all additional kwh
For each kw of Demand in excess of 5 kw, add to the r. 5d
block 150 kwh for the first 15 kw of such excess and 70 kwh for
all additional _qtr; of such excess.
Tax Adjustment, - Plus the applicable Proportionate Pert
of any taxes and assessments imposed by any governmental authori t_:
(other than the supplier) in excess of those in effect January 1,
1937, which are assessed on the basis of meters or customers or
the price c' or revenu*s from electric energy or service sold
or the volume of energy generated or purchased for sole or sold.
Inflation Ad justn_ent, - In order to take care of extreme
increases fn costs in the event of inflation there shall be added
to the above rate ' of 1% for each 1% increase in cost of oil

Minimum:

Section 2. The rates set forth in Section 1 hereof shall ap-ely
to all electricity for the purchase of which bills are rendered
or and aft-:r August 1st, A. D. 1947.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This o_rdin=,nee shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval by the Mayor.

and seconded by Councilmen O. 0. Mathews , the above
and foregoing ordinance was read in full-ond gassed by the
unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater,
Florida, at a regular meeting thereof on the 25th day of June
A. D. 1947.
Upon motion duly made by Councilman 0. 0. Mathews

and seconded by Councilmen A. HuSSey , and
unanimously carried the reauiremont of reading said ordinance
upon second reading at a subsecuent meeting of the ToTn Council
was waived, and this ordinance vas again read in full and was
ordered put upon its final passage.
Passed by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town
of Edger .ter, Florida at a regular meeting of said council held
this 25th day of June, A. D. 1947 and approved as irovi.ded by
