AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE REMOVAL OF TRASH IN "`
i9e<( THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING FOR t,
THE PAYMENT OF A CHARGE FOR THE REMOVAL THEREOF
BY THE TO:N OF EDGEWATER, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOE N COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That for the purpose of this Ordinance the word
"trash" shall include all rubbish, bottles, tin cans, paper and
cardboard boxes.
SECTION 2. That the Town of Edgewater, Florida shall maintain
and operate a service for the collection and disposal of trash
and all persons, firms and corporations whose )remises ara served
thereby shall pay to the Town of Edgewater for the use of such
service the sun of $1.00 per month for each residence so served
and the sum of $2.00 per month for each restaurant, service station,
bear garden or other establishment so served. Such payments
shall be made to and collected by the Town Clerk of the Town
of Edgewater and such payments shall be made at the Town Hall,
Town of Edgewater, Florida between the first and the tenth of
each month for the service rendered during the preceding month.
SECTION 3. That no trash shall be collected or disposed of by
the Town of Edgewater, Florida from any building or premises
for which the owner, occupant or resident has not oaid the
charges for said 7ervice as hereinbefore provided, and upon
said payment becoming delinquent as hereinbefore provided, the

Town of Edgewater, Florida shall forthwith discontinue such
service until payment is made. Said Town of Edgewater, Florida
may also recover delinquent payments by due ?rocess of law.
SECTION 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision of this ordinance, shall upon conviction in the
Municipal Court of Edgewater, Florida of said violation be
fined the sum of not exceeding 154 0 0
dollars or imprisoned for a period of not exceeding
days, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion
of the Court.
SECTION 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
The above ordinance was read in full and passed by the unanimous
vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida at
a regular meeting on the 23rd day of February, A.D. 1949.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the
requirement of reading said ordinance upon second reading was
waived and the ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
Passed by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town
of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said council
held on the 23rd day of February, A.D. 1949, and approved as
provided by law, the vote of said council on roll call being
