184 ORDINANCE NO. 'F'11- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION THIRTEEN OF ORDINANCE NO. 75 OF TEE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA. ttLi BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COU'7CIL OF TEE TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIM.:7'' 1 klaLiv SECTION 1. That Section 13 of Ordinance No. 75 of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, be amended to as to read as follows: Section 13. Any vacancy orvacancies occurring in the office of Councilman, and if such vacancy or vacancies result in a Councilman or Councilmen being absent for three (3) or more successive meetings, then, and in that event, the office or offices of Councilman of that Councilman or Councilmen absent shall be deemed vacated and the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, shall fill said vacancy or vacancies at its next meeting after such vacancy or vacancies occur, which meeting must be held within ten (10) days after such vacancy or vacancies occur. Provided, however, that nothing in this Section shall prohibit the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, by a majority vote of members present, from excusing a Councilman or Councilmen from the attendance of a meeting or meetings, in the event of sickx}ess, accident, or the necessity for leave of absence, or any other just cause, which in the judge- ment of the Councilmen present shall be sufficient to warrant and excuse any number of absences. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by a majority vote of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting on the 10th day of January, A. D. 1951. Due to the fact that one of the Council members was absent, the above and foregoing Ordinance was passed to second reading.
