NEWSPAPERS ArID AGRICULTURAL PRO-
DUCE RAISED BY THE SELLER AT RE-
TAIL.
BE IT ORDAINED BY Thc, TOWN COUNCIL OF TnE T _vrN OF EDGEWATER:
Section I That Section 6 of Article la of ordinance
No. 75 be and the same is hereby amended so as to read as
follows:
Section 6. Every person, firm, corporation, a_socia-
tion or co-partnership, operating, establishing or maintaining
a store or mercantile establishment, fruit stand, filling
station and/or other business, and practicing a profession,
shall pay the license fee hereinafter prescribed for the
privilege of opening, establishing, operating or ulaintaining
such stores or mercantile establishments and/or other business
or profession. The License fee herein :rcvided shall be
annually paid and shall be in addition to the filing fee of
twenty-five cents (250) hereinbefore set forth in this Article.
The license fees herein prescribed shall be as follows:
Amusement park or other amusement place with
merry-go-rounds, roller coasters and other
devices usually found therein and not other-
wise here specified, per ddy $15.00
Atictioneers, per day. . • . 5.00
Bill boards, 100 sq. feet or less IL 5.00
and for each 100 sq. feet or a fraction there-
of additional per board 1.00
Billiard or Pool tables kept for public use , up
to and including three tables 25.00
All over three tables , for each additional taole 1.00
Boarding houses and hotel accomodating roomers and
lodgers, having over five sleeping rooms and less
than ten 5.00
Same , for ten to twenty-five $10.00
Same, for twenty-five or over sleeping rooms 25.0u
Carnivals, per day 25.00
Contractors, general or special, whether b-ilding,
plumbing, electrical or otherwise 5.00
Dance halls or eating places where there is a cover
charge and dL.ncing is permitted 25.00
Dealers in gasoline or illuminating or
lubricating arils, at retail. . . . ~ 2.50
Dealers in same , at wholesale 25.00
Dealers in junk , either direct or by agent 10.00
Fruit or vegetable stands, retail, not licensed
as merchant, where the d:.aler does not grow his
own fruit 2.50
(Where farmer or grower sells fruit from own
grove or farm there shall be no licensed fee) .
Peddlers, c raveling dealers, who shall bargain
to sell any goods, wares or merchandise by sample
or other manner for the present or future delivery,
to any person, whomsoever for himself or agent
following after to deliver and collect, same shall
be deemed a _:eddler under this section and shall
pay a license tax of 25.00
Provided, however, this lecense tax shall not
apply to drummers and salesmen employed by
wholesale dealers or manufacturers seling to
local license dealers the goods of their
principles nor to newsboys, nor to dealers of
ice4 nor to dealers of dairy products, nor
to dealers of water for drinking purposes or
otherwise and same shall not apply to retail
dealers of gasoline or lubricating oils or
illuminating oils as such gasoline or lubricating
or illuminating oil dealer shall pa-,- the license fee
as a retail dealer. V

Any other business or occupation not mentioned
herein, or in following Sections of this Article 2.ou
None of the provisions of this Section shall apply
to salesmen or dealers seliing .'ilk, Water, Ice ,News-
_apers or agricultural produce raised by the seller
at retail in the Town of Edgewater,and no license shall
be imposed upon any person, firm or cororation engaged
in any of said businesses in the capacities herein de-
signated.

This Ordinance was read a first time in full and p -.ssed
by the u ani..,cus vote of the Town Council of the Town
of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting or said
Town Council, on the . 9th day of December, 193v.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried,
the requirement of reading this Ordinance upon second
readin=g was waived and this Ordinance was ordered put
uon its final passage at a regular metiny of the Town
Council of the Town of Edgewater, held the 19th day of
December, 1939. Said Ordinance was passed at said regular
meeting upon its final passage with the unanimous vote
of the Town Council of the Town of Edgew ter, Florida,
and arproved as provided by law this 19th day of December,
139, the vote of the Council being as follows:
