Section I. That Section III of Ordinance No. 80 of the Town
of Edgewater, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended so
as to read as follows:
section III. The permit provided for in Section II hereof
shall not be effective for a period of over one (1) year
from the date thereof, and shall be subject to revocation
by said Town Council at any time on ten (10) days written
notice to the owner or keeper of said bees delivered to
him by the Town Clerk of the said Town of -.dgewater, and
after a finding by said Town Council that the further and
continued keeping or maintaining of said bees shall be
dangerous to the health, comfort or safety of the citizens
of said Town of Edgewater. Said notice herein provided for
shall advise said owner or keeper of said bees that the
continued and further keeping or maintenance of the same
shall be and constitute a menace to the health, comfort or
safety of the citizens of said Town and shall direct said
owner or keeper thereof to remove the same within said ten
(10) days from the limits of the said Town of Edgewater.
r( J° Provided, however, that u4:on the expiration of all permits
heretcfore issued the same shall be renewed for a period
ending on the 30th day of September following the date of
the issuance thereof; and that on and after the 30th day
of September 1941 all permits issued under this Ordinance
shall be for a period not to exceed one (1) year, it being
the intent and purpose of this Ordinance that all permits
issued he;°eunder shall be renewed on the 1st day of October
of each year. burin;_; the use and enjoyment of such permit
the owner or keeper of said bees is required at all times
to care for and supervise the same in accordance with the
best standards of bee culture and in particular shall pro-
vide sufficient quantities of water for said bees at all
times and shall personally supervise the hives.
Section II. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage.
This Ordinance was read in full and passed by the unanimous vote
of the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, Florida, at its re-
gdlar meeting on the 21st day of May, A. D. 1940.
Upon motion duly made seconded and unanimously carried the re-
quirement of reading this ordinance upon second reading was waived
and this ordinance was ordered put upon its final passage.
Passed by the unanimous vote of the gown Council of the Town
of Edgewater, Volusia County, 11.orida, and a: proved as provided
by law on this 21st day of May, A. D. 1940.
