ORDINANCE NO. 109.
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPCINTMNT
OF A SUPERVISOR OF STREETS AND OTHER THOROUGH-

ING HIS DUTIES; FIXING HIS CCMPENSATION, AND
REPEALING ALL LASS AND PARTS OF. LAWS OF SAID
TOWN IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL CF THE TOWN OF
EDGE WATER, FLORIDA:-
Section 1. That the Town Council of the Town of
Eewater, Florida, shall each year appoint a citizen of said
Town as Supervisor of the Streets, Alleys and Highways of said
Town, who shall hold office at the will of said Town Council.
Section 2. It shall be the duty of said Supervisor
to attend to the condition of all of said streets, alleys and
thoroughfares, and to report the same to the Town Council at each
regular meeting thereof. He shall make such general and ordinary
repairs to said thoroughfares as shall be directed by said Town
Council or by its duly authorized officials, and shall expend in
connection therewith only such moneys as shall be from time to
time authorized by said Council. He shall perform such emergency
repairs thereto as the protection of life and property shall re-
-y quire , after first obtaining the approval of the Mayor or of a

oQ° 44 other duties as shall from time to time be prescribed by said

p�. Council. r'e shall have the custody of and be responsible for
such tools and equipment owned by said Town as are and shall be
used in the performance of his said duties. He shall employ such
assistance as the Council shall authorize in order to perform
the work of his said office.
Section 3. He shall receive the sum of sixty
($60.00) dollars per month as com>)ensation for the performance
of his said duties.

Section 4. That Section 1 of Article IV of
Ordinance No. 75 insofar as the same relates to the custody
of personal property of said Town used in street repair and
maintenance, and all other Ordinances and parts of Ordinances
and '`esolutions and parts of Resolutions be and the same are
hereby repealed insofar as the same are in conflict herewith.
section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or
upon its becoming a law without such approval.
This Ordinance was read in full and passed
by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of the Town of
Edgewater, Florida, at its regular meeting held on the 15th
day of September, 1942.
Upon motion duly made , seconded and unanimously
carried the requirement of reading this Ordinance upon second
reading was waived and this Ordinance was ordered put upon its
final passage, at said regular meeting of said Town Council
held this 15th day of September, 1942.
Said Ordinance was passed at said regular meet-
ing upon its final passage by the said Town Council of said
Town of Edgewater, Florida, and approved as provided by law,
this 15th day of September, 1942, the vote of the Council being
