CITY OF EDGEWATER
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT PUBLIC HEARING
and
REGULAR MEETING
July 23, 1980
Chairman Louise Martin called the Public Hearing to order at
7:00 P.M. in the Edgewater City Hall.

The Public Hearing was for the purpose of considering an applica-
tion from Mr. and Mrs. Nelson for a variance of 111211 on the rear
setback on property located at 302 Linda Street.

Mrs. Nelson explained to the board that there was an existing
building on this property that has been used as a storage garage.
It is the intention of the Nelsons to remodel this garage into a
resid~nce. They believe that this would be upgrading the property.
The property has been posted and abutting property owners notified
of the intended change. There were no objections from abutting
property owners.
Mrs. Kane made a motion that the board grant this request for the
rear setback variance of 111211. Mr. Sloan seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 3-0.
A letter will be sent to the Council recommending the granting of
this variance to Mr. and Mrs. Nelson.
The Public Hearing was adjourned.
Mrs. Martin called the Regular Meeting of the Board of Adjustment
to order.
Mr. Sloan made a motion to approve the minutes of May 28, 1980.
Mrs. Kane seconded the motion. Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 3-0.
The Board briefly discussed recent variances that had been granted
by the Council and also the directive from the Council to the Building
Official concerning the posting of property in connection with
applications for variances.
The board members were informed that the Advisory Board Dinner would
be held on September 12, 1980.
Mr. Sloan made a motion to adjourn the meeting. tv1rs. Kane seconded
the motion. The meeting was adjourned.
