The boa~d considered the application from Robert Webster
regarding property on 612 North Ridgewood Avenue.
!-:.:~, ..-
Mr. Sloan, stated that he would ~ike to 'go on record as
thinking 'that this covers theaters only.
There 'was discussion on :the zoning:requirements.":There'
seemed ~o be some confusion as to, why this man needs a "
variance.
Mrs. Kane stated that her interpretation is that the dimensional
requirements call for two acres to build; this man does not have
two acres therefore he needs a variance.
The board 'heard the objection from Mrs. Fulton in regard to
allowing this building. She suggested that they put it 'On the
south end of the property by their other building.
It was explained to her that there .is no way that he can build
any farther south. There will be approximately 3S to 40 ,feet
between Mrs. Fulton's building and this structure if this
variance is granted.
Mr. Sloan stated that we have to take into consideration what
the City is going to look like. The board is here 'to better
the City of Edgewater.
Mrs. Fulton stated that they do not want this building right
next to their property. She added that she resented the state-
ment that was made at the last meeting that the only decent
building in the area is Volusia Realty. She feels that this
is very prejudice when you are trying to decide on a variance.
Mrs. 'Martin stated that the comment was not meant in that
context.
