BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
WORKSHOP
NOVEMBER 12, 1975
The Workshop meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Murphy.
It was discussed that from now on a Public Hearing is not to
be scheduled before the workshop has been held on that parti-
cular subject.
Mrs. Murphy read a correspondence from Anton Centa, explaining
that he has retained William L. Ross as his attorney to ask for
a variance to construct two single-family residences on two
non-conforming lots.
After looking at the maps, the board members explained to
Mr. Ross that this area is not zoned R-3 as he has on the
application; it is zoned B-3.
Mrs. Nichols stated that she thought that the Ordinance had
been amended to say that you could build a residence in any
zoning, which is upzoning the area.
The board members suggested that Mr. Ross contact Mr. Weaver
and see if this amendment was made, which would allow him to
build without a variance.
Mr. Jim Craig spoke to the board explaining that he wants to
build a garage in the back of his yard. He showed the board
members a drawing of exactly what he wants to do. He explained
that he will have difficulties if he builds the garage under
the present requirements, however he would prefer to build in
conjunction with the way the other garages in the neighborhood
are built.
The board members discussed this among themselves and and
Mr. Craig.
The board members went back to discussion with Mr. Ross.
It was explained again that he is going to find out whether
the Ordinance was amended in regard to this, however they
feel he might want a variance in regard to the setbacks anyway.
Mr. Ross stated that he had to make sure with his client since
it is a business district and not a residential, what he wants
to do.
Mr. Fenske made a motion to adjourn, being seconded by Mrs. Nichols.
Said motion CARRIED.
Meeting adjourned.
