APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mrs. Nichols made a motion to accept the minutes of the September
29, 1975 meeting, being seconded by Mr. Denton. Said motion
CARRIED.
WORKSHOP BUSINESS
Mrs. Murphy passed around the information on the request coming
up at the next Public Hearing, explaining that Mr. Campbell wants
to build a swimming pool on his property and he will not meet the
set backs.
Mr. Mackie explained that all of the property lines in Silver
Ridge vary.
From looking at the drawings, the board members understood that
this man is asking for a 22 foot variance on the front and a 2
and 1/2 foot variance on the sides.
Mr. Mackie explained that there is a 5 foot easement on the backs
of the properties because of all the light poles in the back, and
that this should be taken into consideration.
It was pointed out that this easement is drawn in on the map, and
he is still 2 and 1/2 feet from the easement.
Mr. Mackie stated that he owns the lot next to Mr. Campbell and
that several realtors have told him that this may hender the sale
of his property or at least the price he is asking for.
The board members discussed the fence requirements in regards to
swimming pools.
Mrs. Murphy stated that the board members should visibly check
the property before the Public Hearing in November.
Mr. Mackie stated that the fence which is going to have to be
put up is going to come right out to the street, and are the
people going to like looking at this?
Mr. Fenske stated that if they want to put up a solid fence for
privacy, then it would definitely be a traffic hazard.

Mrs. Nichols stated that she really doesn't see why we should
take this man's money for a Public Hearing, because this does
not meet the criteria that we have to meet.
Mr. Denton stated that he agrees.
The board members went over the criteria which they will have
to meet at the Public Hearing.
Mr. Denton stated that we could notify the man that the board
members feelings at the workshop are not in favor of granting
the variance, however if he still wants a Public Hearing we
can hold one.
Mrs. Nichols stated that she feels we should not waste the time
for a Public Hearing or the man's money.
Mr. Denton made a motion to adjourn the workshop meeting, being
seconded by Mrs. Nichols. Said motion CARRIED.
Meeting adjourned.
