APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mrs. Nichols made a motion to accept the minutes of May 5, 1975,
being seconded by Mr. Fenske. Upon roll call vote said motion
CARRIED.
Mrs. Murphy read the case to be discussed at this Public Hearing:
Mr. William J. Pease is
can construct a storage
his present business of
wood Avenue, Edgewater.
requesting a variance in setbacks so he
building to be used in connection with
A-l Rent All located at 112 North Ridge-
(Lot 3, McGinnis Sub.)
The board began discussing this matter; there being no one
present except the board members.
Mr. Fenske pointed out that Mrs. Woodard asked Mr. Pease to
bring into City Hall a letter from Mr. McGinnis to the effect
that he has no objections to this storage building.
After much discussion, Mr. Denton read the required setbacks
in this district.
Mr. Denton stated that he is in sympathy with the young man's
industrial effort, and he feels this hard work should be en-
couraged, however on the other hand it seems that we will be
changing a zoning law to pass a variance on this.
Mrs. Murphy asked if the board has thought if we deny this and
the council denies it, then this man has another problem because
he is not suppose to be storing the equipment outside.
Mr. Denton explained that he could build a building by placing
it in another location on the lot.
Mrs. Nichols stated that she feels that this is going to take
more than just a variance. This is against the Ordinance and
we can not go against the Ordinance, so it will take the Council
to grant this.
Mr. Denton made a motion that this be referred to the Zoning
Board for consideration, being seconded by Mrs. Nichols. Upon
roll call vote said motion CARRIED. All members voting YES.
Mrs. Nichols made a motion that the Public Hearing be adjourned,
being seconded by Mr. Fenske. Said motion CARRIED.
