ZONING BOARD OF ^DJUSTMENTS
REGULAR MEETING HELD
NOVEMBER 11, 1974
The Regular Meeting of the Zoninq Board of Adjustments was
called to order by Chairwoman Woodard Monday, November 11,
1974, at 7:30 P.M.

Mr. Fenske made a motion to accept the minutes of the meeting
held October 8, 1974, being seconded by Mrs. Murphy. Said
motion CARRIED.
Mrs. Woodard made some comments on the procedure to follow
during the meetings.
Mrs. Woodard read a letter that she wrote to Mrs. Baker in
regards to the semi truck situation. She stated that she
personally feels that this problem does not belong to the
Zoning Board of Adjustments, as it does not pertain to the
property itself.
There was much discussion on this matter. The confusion was
as to whether the Zoning Board of Adjustments has the power
to handle this, or should the City Council handle it.
r~rs. t1urphy made a motion that in hopes of expeditinq the
decision, give this problem to the City Council, beinq
seconded by Mrs. Nichols. Upon roll call vote said motion
CARRIED.
Mrs. Wood asked all members to attend the Public Hearing on
November 13, 1974, in regards to the new bank. She read a
letter from Mr. and Mrs. William T. Turner opposing the
building of the bank.
Mrs. Woodard read a letter from residents of Turgot Avenue,
protesting the building of duplex houses and a private street
in the block of Turqot Avenue, between Riversid~ Drive and
Fernald Streed. She also read a previous Petition Which was
sent to the City Clerk in February of 1974.
There was m~ch discussion on this matter. Mrs. Woodard will
take this letter, together with the letter from the Turners
to the Zoning and Planning Goard meeting November 12th.
Mrs. Woodard read a letter from Mr. James A. Gilligan con-
cerning a lot he bought in 1972. He now wishes to build
upon it, and would like to build according to the zoning
at the time he bought the lot.
The dimensional fiaures in the letter were not very clear,
Mrs. Woodard is to give this man a call for more details
on his plans.

It was agreed that the next meeting will be Monday,
December 9, at 7:30 P.M. The secretary is please
asked to call each member the day before the meeting
and remind them.
Mrs. Nichols made a motion to adjourn this meeting,
being seconded by Mr. Fenske. Meeting adjourned at
9:15 P.M.
