Sampson
Animal Control Officer Brandi McNair explained to the Board that an 18-month-
old neutered pitt bull known as "Sampson", whom Donald Bond and Shannon
McCraney own, attacked an eleven-year-old boy. The boy is the younger brother
of co-owner Shannon McCraney. ACO McNair stated that she has personally had
several complaints from citizens in the neighborhood in reference to Sampson
being aggressive in the past and that his behavior seems to be progressively
getting worse. Ms. McNair explained that the owner has recently been advised
through his insurance company that his homeowners insurance will be cancelled
if he keeps the dog. Ms. McNair stated that the owner Donald Bond states he
will consider euthanization if the Board deems the dog as dangerous. After a
brief discussion the following motion was made.
