01-10-1983 - Special J ~p ~ ~ ~ CITY OF EDGEWATER CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 10, 1983 The special meeting to adopt the resolutions appointing members to the City's advisory boards was called to order by Mayor Richard J. McKillop at 12:30 P.M. in the Community Center. City Attorney Jose Alvarez City Clerk Nancy Blazi Police Chief Earl Baugh Present Present Present The City Attorney read Resolution 83-R-2: A RESOLUTION RE-AFFIRMING THREE APPOINT- MENTS; RE-APPOINTING ONE MEMBER; AND APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilman Ledbetter moved to adopt resolution 83-R-2, Councilman Spencer seconded. Councilman Asting stated that he voted no on Meeker and Roush but yes to the rest. The City Attorney advised that this would have to be a no vote. Motion CARRIED 3-2. Councilman Asting and Mayor McKillop voted NO. The City Attorney read Resolution 83-R-3: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY TO THE MERIT BOARD OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilwoman Bennington moved to adopt Resolution 83-R-3, Councilman Ledbetter seconded. Motion CARRIED 5-0. The City Attorney read Resolution 83-R-4: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO FILL VACANCIES FOR UNEXPIRED TERMS TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilman Spencer moved to adopt Resolution 83-R-4, Councilwoman Bennington seconded. Motion CARRIED 5-0. The City Attorney read Resolution 83-R-5: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO FILL VACANCIES FOR UNEXPIRED TERMS; AND APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY AS ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE ZONING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilwoman Bennington moved to adopt Resolution 83-R-5, Councilman Spencer seconded. Motion CARRIED 5-0. The City Attorney read Resolution 83-R-6: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING TWO MEMBERS TO FILL VACANCIES FOR UNEXPIRED TERMS; AND APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY AS ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilman Spencer moved to adopt Resolution 83-R-6, Councilman Ledbetter seconded. Motion CARRIED 5-0. The City Attorney read Resolution 83-R-7: A RESOLUTION RE-APPOINTING ONE MEMBER; APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY; AND APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM TO THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilman Ledbetter moved to adopt Resolution 83-R-7, Councilman Asting seconded. Councilman Ledbetter moved to adopt Resolution 83-R-8, Councilwoman Bennington seconded. Motion CARRIED 5-0. Councilwoman Bennington moved to adjourn the meeting, Councilman Ledbetter seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 12:50 P.M.
