CITY OF EDGEWATER
CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 5, 1980
Mayor Robert Christy called the Special Meeting to order at
7:30 P.M. in the Edgewater Community Center on November 5, 1980.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

RESOLUTIONS
City Attorney Judson Woods read Resolution No. 80-R-190.
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THERE IS NO FURTHER BUSINESS TO
COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
AND THAT THIS ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA
ADJOURN SINE DIE; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Councilman Asting made a motion to adopt this res6~ution as read.
Mr. Ledbetter made the second. Upon roll call vote CARRIED 5-0.
OLD BUSINESS
Mayor Christy handed out a page; from Chapter 119. Disposition of records
for the Councils information.
Councilman Ledbetter thanked the people for the vote that they gave
him yesterday and that puts him back up here for another short term.
He will do the best he can.
Councilman Asting had no comment.
NEW BUSINESS
The Oath of Office was given to Mr. Ledbetter by City Clerk Nancy
Blazi.
The Oath of Office was given to Mr. Wilbur by City Clerk Nancy
Blazi.
Councilman Asting's seat was turned over to Mr. John Wilbur.
Mr. Opal was asked to come up front and state his question.
Frank Opal of Florida Shores asked if the proposition had been
sent certified to the Secretary of State. Mrs. Blazi stated
that we had the counting of the absenuee~ votes at 4:00 P.M.
today and that they will be mailed out first thing in the ~orning.

Mr. Opal also asked if a date has been set for the election.
Mayor Christy stated that this would be done next Monday night
at: the Council Meeting.
Mr. Phinney was asked to come up front and state his question.
William Phinney 9 Pinesedge Court asked City Attorney for his
legal opinion.
City Attorney told Mr. Phinney to go ahead and he will try to answer
his question.
Mr. Phinney stated that Monday night it came up that the Mayor
tried to expell one of the City Councilmen from the meeting. He
would like to clear the air and let the citizens know if this can
be done.
City Attorney stated that he will try to answer this at Monday nights
meeting.
Councilman Ledbetter made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Cameron
made the second. Meeting Adjourned.
