CITY COUNCIL OF EDGEWATER
SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 24, 1986
MINUTES
Mayor Baugh called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. in the Community
Center. He stated the items on the agenda.

Regular Meeting of November 17, 1986 - Councilman Asting moved to adopt these
minutes. Councilman Prater seconded the motion. Motion CARRIED 4-0.
Special Meeting & Workshop of November 20, 1986 - Councilman Prater moved to
adopt the Workshop and Special Meeting of November 20, 1986. Councilman
Rotundo seconded the motion. Motion CARRIED 4-0.
RESOLUTION NO. 86-R-59 ADOURNMENT SINE DIE - City Attorney Alvarez read this
Resolution. RES. 86-R-59 - A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THERE IS NO FURTHER
BUSINESS TO COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,
AND THAT THIS ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ADJOURN SINE
DIE; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE. Councilman Asting moved to adopt the Resolution. Councilman Prater
seconded the motion. Motion CARRIED 4-0.
ADMINISTERING OF OATHS TO INCOMING COUNCIL MEMBERS - City Clerk Martinez admin-
istered the oath of office to the five Council members.
COUNCIL COMMENTS
Councilman Rotundo introduced his mother, his wife, his daughter and her family,
who were seated in the audience.
Councilman Prater thanked the citizens for the confidence and support in allowing
him to return as Zone 2 Councilman. He pledged to serve the interest of all
citizens in a responsible, credible and capable manner. He said he appreciates
the opportunity to serve and looks forward to serving with all of them for the
betterment of Edgewater and its citizens.
Councilman Asting stated that two years ago the past Council entered upon a
program for City improvements and much was accomplished by that administration
to improve conditions and to keep pace with continued growth. He pointed out
recent elections indicated that people were satisfied with the efforts made
and they wish them to continue. He said the past Council acted with dignity
and harmony in the conduct of City business and he hopes this Council will
maintain this image.
Councilman Mitchum thanked the voters of Edgewater, his family, and God. He
pledged his full support and said he'll work to the fullest of his ability,
and he thanked them.
Mayor Baugh introduced his wife in the audience, acknowledging her help. He
thanked the citizens for the support they showed him two years ago and again
this year. He said he'll do all in his power to continue with the projects
they started and work as hard as possible for the citizens. He added that he
looks forward to the next two years of working for the citizens.
Councilmen Asting, Prater, and Mitchum then introduced their wives who were
seated in the audience.
Mayor Baugh requested a motion to adjourn. Councilman Prater so moved.
Councilman Rotundo seconded the motion. Meeting was adjourned at 7:12 P.M.
