Councilman Asting presented proposed amendments to the W/WW budaet.
He said that he disagreed with Mr. Weser's figures on the current
status of the W/WW budaet.
Mr. Weser presented a different set of figures for the current budget
and the proposed surplus at the end of the year.
The Council discussed these figures.
Councilman Ledbetter said that he also felt that the Street Dept.
budget had been changed all out of proportion and he was concerned
about this.
The Council also discussed the General Fund budget amendment.
Mr. Brent Millikan spoke to the Council concerning the budgets.
Mr. Woods said that the Council had already held a public hearing on
the general fund. If they change the figures that were presented at
that public hearing, they will have to hold another public hearin~.
The Council discussed the change in the budget that was originally
meant for paving equipment. This equipment will not be purchased at
this time and the money would be available for the Street Dept. to
use for other equipment or the repair or replacement of present equipment.
Councilman Asting said that the motion to forego the purchase of the
equipment was made but did not carry.
Mayor Christy said that no further motions were made at the last meetina
on this so that technically the purchase of paving equipment has not
been settled one way or the other.
The meeting was adjourned.
