81-O-19ORDINANCE NO. 41_0-I1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AS ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE t�+� „e 80-0-78, BY TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM ONE P.�, 7, 911 CITY DEPARTMENT TO ANOTHER CITY DEPARTMENT TO e; 3��E%"o E FUND THE POSITION OF CITY MANAGER; AUTHORIZING P� SAID TRANSFER BY THE CITY CLERK; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AS REQUIRED BY LAW; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONCFLICT HERE- WITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Ordinance 80-0-78 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, setting a tentative budget for the City for fiscal year 1980-1981, and WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that it is now necessary to amend the City's budget for the fiscal year 1980- 1981, by transferring certain funds from one department to another, and WHEREAS, This action has been required by the adoption of Resolution No.81-R-51 which declared the City Council's intention to appoint a city manager for the City of Edgewater, to be compensated from funds appropriated to Finance and Administration, and WHEREAS, appropriate public hearings shall be held prior to the final adoption of this 9)rdinance, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance 80-0-78 is hereby amended to read so that the following adjustments are made to the General Fund; to wit: s That'the sum of $ S OO dollars shall be transferred from monies appropriated to the Planning Department to funds for Finance and Administration for the purpose of compensating a city manager. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make said transfer upon the final enactment of this ordinance. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith, be and same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law. SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise this Ordinance as required by law. The first reading of the above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the MXV—& % meeting of said council held on the J ?+day of May, 1981, and approved as provided by law.
