81-O-10ORDINANCE N0. 81-0-10 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT OF 1975; RE- PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975, empowered municipalities to adopt comprehensive plans to provide a legal framework for future development, growth, and progress within municipalities in the State of Florida, and WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater has taken all steps required by §163 and §166, Florida Statutes, to enact a comprehensive plan, and WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida, has fully co-operated with other governmental entities in the development of a comprehensive plan, as required by law, and WHEREAS, various public hearings have been held by the City Council and the local planning agency in the formulation of this plan after due public notice. - NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OFTHE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the City of Edgewater, Florida, hereby enacts and adopts a Comprehensive Plan, which shall he hereinafter cited as "The Comprehensive Plan of the City of Edgewater, Florida 1981." Said Comprehensive Plan meets the requirement of, is enacted pursuant to, and is entitled to the legal status of a comprehensive plan as defined in "The Local Government Comprehensive Planning Act of 1975." Said comprehensive plan is annexed as EXHIBIT 1, and hereby incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby specifically repealed. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be published by title only at least one (1) time in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Edgewater, which said publication shall not be less than P�R z LL_.. seven (7) days prior to final passage of this Ordinance. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage as provided by law. The first reading of the above ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the regular meeting of said council held on the day of March, 1981, and approved as provided by law.
