RESOLUTION NO. 90-R-66
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGE -
WATER, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN A LOANING,
LEASING AND WAREHOUSING PROGRAM AS AN EXTENSION TO THE
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PROGRAM AND COUNCIL OF THE
VOLUSIA COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (VCOG); REPEALING ALL
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Volusia Council of Governments offers a Coop-
erative Purchasing Program to member governments, and this govern-
mental entity has previously adopted a Resolution authorizing
participation in the Cooperative Purchasing Program, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate to extend the Coopera-
tive Purchasing Program to include the loaning and leasing of
personnel, equipment and facilities between and among participat-
ing Parties in order to promote greater efficiency and economy in
governmental operations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, hereby authorizes the extension of the participation in
the Cooperative Purchasing Program established by the Volusia
Council of Governments to include the loaning and leasing of per-
sonnel, equipment, and facilities between and among participating
Parties, in accordance with the attached Agreement, incorporated
herein and made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Edgewater here-
by authorizes those individuals who have been previously authoriz-
ed to commit resources and accomplish the functions of this enti-
ty to likewise administer this program to the extent previously
authorized.
SECTION 3. Should any portion, section, or subsection of
this Resolution or attached Agreement be held to be invalid by a
court of competent jurisdiction, that fact shall not affect or
invalidate any other portion, section or subsection; and the re-
maining portions of this Resolution and attached Agreement shall
remain in full force and effect without regard to the portion,
section, or subsection ivalidated.
SECTION 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. That this resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Edge-
water, Florida, and approval as provided by law.
This Resolution was introduced and sponsored by councilman
Gnld , and was read and passed by a vote of the City Coun-
cil of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a Regular meet-
ing of said Council held on the 19 day of November ,
1990, and approved as provided by law.
