A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, DECLARING ITS INTENT
TO REQUEST THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL
IMPROVEMENT TRUST FUND TO APPROVE EXTENSION
OF A FISHING PIER AT VETERANS PARK FOR USE BY
THE PUBLIC FOR RECREATIONAL AND/OR PARK PURPOSES;
REQUESTING A LEASE AGREEMENT FOR SOVEREIGNTY
SUBMERGED LAND; REQUESTING A WAIVER OF ALL FEES
PERTAINING TO THIS APPROVAL; REPEALING ALL
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater,, Florida,
is desirous of providing recreational facilities to the public;
and
WHEREAS, the proposed recreational area is compatible with
surrounding land uses; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
has approved said improvements to Veterans Memorial parr, said
improvements to include extension to existing fishing pier.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, does hereby request the Board of Trustees of the
Internal Trust Fund to approve the City's extension of a fishing
pier on sovereign land and City -owned upland, lying and being in
VDILLsia County, Florida, and described on the following page.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE SURVEY
A. Of proposed submerged land lease area being a portion of the
unsurveyed part of section 2, Township 18 south, Range 34
East and being described as follows: Commence at the
Northwest corner of U.S. Lot 4, Section 2, Township 18
South, Range 34 East; thence N 89° 31' 42" E along the North
line of said U.S. Lot 4, a distance of 480.14 feet; thence N
89° 24` 30" E, a distance of 13.86 feet to the mean high
water line of the Westerly bank of the Indian River North;
thence Northeasterly along said mean high water line, the
following eleven courses and distances; N 52" 33' 44" E,
9.01 feet; thence N 73° 59' 26" E, 7.99 feet; thence N 80'
06' 43" E, 24.89 feet; thence N 82' 44' 59" E, 29.00 feet;
thence N 800 01' 49" E, 24.95 feet; thence N 730 28' 05" E,
24.86 feet; thence N 630 31' 43" E, 15.42 feet; thence N 61.
35' 28" E, 13.B1 feet; thence N 590 06' 52" E, 28.42 feet;
thence N 380 30` 40" E, 16.85 feet; thence N 010 53' 17" W,
6.13 feet to the existing dock; thence N 830 25' 19" E along
said dock, 54.11 feet; thence S 07 ° 02' 18" E along said
existing dock;, 11.23 feet; thence N 820 58' 14" E along said
existing dock, a distance of 15.74 feet for the Point of
Beginning; thence N 070 07' 33" W along said existing dock,
a distance of 6.00; thence N 826 52' 27" E, a distance of
125.00 feet; thence 5 070 07' 33" E, a distance of 30.00
feet; thence S B2 52' 27" W, a distance of 15.00 feet;
thence N 07 07' 33' W, a distance of 24.00 feet; thence S
920 52' 27" W, a distance of 110.00 feet, to the Point of
Beginning. Containing 1109.50 square feet or 0.0255 acre
more or less.

SECTION 2: That the City ouncil of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, hereby requests a lease agreement for sovereignty
submerged land described in "A".
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
hereby requests a waiver of all fees pertaining to this approval.
SECTION 4: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
hereby authorizes appropriate City officials to execute and
attest.
SECTION b: That this Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, and approval as provided by law.
This Resolution was introduced and sponsored by Councilmen
member Bennington and was read and passed by a majority
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a
regular meeting of said Council held on the 18th
day of June 199 0, and authenticated as provided by law.
