90-R-38RESOLUTION NO. 90-R-38 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGE - WATER, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 2. OF RESOLUTION NO. 83-R-28 BY PROVIDING THAT ITEMS FOR THE AGENDA MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TO THE CITY MANAGER BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THE MONDAY PRECEDING THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OR IN THE EVENT THAT SAID MONDAY FALLS ON A NATIONAL HOLIDAY, ITEMS FOR THE AGENDA SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING TO THE CITY MANAGER BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THE TUESDAY PRECEDING THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Resolution 83-R-28, which provided that any person desiring to do so, may address the City Council of Edgewater, Florida, for a period of time not to exceed three min- utes is hereby repealed in its entirety. SECTION 2. That any item to be included on the Regular City Council meeting agenda by the public shall be submitted in writing to the City Manager by close of business on the Monday preceding the regular City Council meeting, or in the event that said Monday falls on a national holiday, items for the Agenda shall be submitted in writing to the City Manager by close of business on the Tuesday preceding the regular City Council meeting. In the same request, a synopsis of material on the subject shall be supplied and shall be of such sufficiency to enable the City Council to have background material readily available at the meeting. In addition, the amount of time requested for the presentation shall be set forth. The requirements of this section may be waived by the City Council upon a showing of good cause by the person desiring to conduct business before the Council. SECTION 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect immedi- ately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Edge- water, Florida, and approval as provided by law. This Resolution was introduced and sponsored by Councilman Fish , and was read and passed by a vote of the City Coun- cil of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meet- r— ing of said Council held on the 18th day of June 1990, and approved as provided by law.
