88-R-59RESOLUTION NO. 88-R-59
WHEREAS, a Charter Review Committee recommended certain
revisions to the City Charter, including the resubmittal to
the voters in the November election the opportunity to repeal
the two -Year City Manager voter performance approval; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 88-0-20, adopted September 19, 1988,
called for the question to be included on the ballot for the
general election to be held in November; and
WHEREAS, all ballots cast in said election have been
tabulated and confirmed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION l: That the following votes were cast and tabulated
concerning the question as it appeared on the ballot of said
election:
QUESTION: "Should the City Managers voters performance
approval every two Years be rescinded?"
MACHINE VOTES: f G / 3 Yes votes for adoption
1 5j 0 No votes against adoption
ABSENTEE VOTES: S i� Yes votes for adoption
S1 No votes against adoption
TOTAL: /(a 9 Yes votes for adoption
IS8 No votes against adoption
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Edgewater
hereby declares that 16,6 votes were cast in favor of adoption
and 1s82votes were cast against adoption of the aforementioned
question.
SECTION 3: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater and approval as provided by law.
This resolution was introduced and sponsored by Councilman
Prater and was read and passed by a majority vote of the
City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a special
meeting of said Council held on the 9th day of November ,198_,
and authenticated as provided by law.
