RESOLUTION NO. 88-R- 43
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PRIMARY ELECTION TO BE
HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ON
OCTOBER 25, 1988, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELECTING
TWO CANDIDATES OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL SEATS FOR
ZONE 1, ZONE 29 ZONE 3, AND ZONE 4; IF. NEEDED}DESIGNATING
THE VOTING PLACES FOR SAID ELECTION; DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE RESOLUTION; REPEALING
ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City Council issue a proclamation calling any
primary, general or special election, stating therein where the same shall be
held, and naming the different offices to be filled:
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
hereby proclaims that there will be a primary election held in the City of Edgewater,
Florida, on October 25, 1988.
SECTION 2. That this primary election shall be held in accordance
with the laws of the State of Florida for the conduct of election.
SECTION 3. The purpose of said election shall be to select two-canidates
if needed for Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, and Mayor for the City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 4. The voting places for this primary election shall be at
the Edgewater Community Center, 102 N. Riverside Drive for Precinct 24. The
Edgewater Library, 103 Indian River Blvd. for Precinct 24A. The Fire Station No.l,
1605 S. Ridgewood Ave. for Precinct 24B. The Fire Station No. 2, 605 Mango Tree Dr.
for Precinct 24C, and the Pelican Cove West Community Center at the Downtown Plaza,
2102 S. Ridgewood Ave. for Precinct 24D and shall be held on October 25, 1988,
between the hours of 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish and
post this Resolution as required by law.
SECTION 6. That all resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
SECTION 7. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption by the City Council and approved as provided by law.
The first reading of the Resolution was read in full and passed by a
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at aR,g„lpr
