88-R-9RESOLUTION N0, 88-R-9
WHEREAS, a petition signed by 707 registered voters was
presented to the City Council on October 19, 1987; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 87-0-29, adopted December 21, 1987,
called for a special election to be held for the purpose of
determining whether the City Charter shall be amended to pro-
vide for a City Manager form of government, to provide for
voter performance approval for the City Manager, and residency
requirements for the City Manager and all Department Heads; and
WHEREAS, a special election was duly held in the City of
Edgewater on February 2, 1988; and
WHEREAS, all ballots cast in said election have been
tabulated and confirmed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following votes were cast and tabu-
lated concerning the following questions as they appear on the
ballot of said election:
Question 1: Should the City Charter be amended giving

and conditions of employment?

SECTION 3: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: That this resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater and approval as provided by law.

Asting and was read and passed by a majority vote of
the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a
special meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day of
