RESOLUTION NO. 83-R-30
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RES. 83-R-1 VESTING TEMPORARY
AND WITH CONDITIONS UPON THE CITY CLERK THE ADDITIONAL
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DESIGNATED
TO THE OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER FOR A PERIOD OF TIME
NOT TO EXCEED MAY 13, 1983, UPON THE CONDITION THAT
THE EXISTING STATE OF AFFAIRS REMAINS UNCHANGED UNLESS
OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida is presently without a City Manager,
WHEREAS, the administrative duties necessary to carry on the day to day
affairs of the City require full time attention; and
WHEREAS, a referendum will be held as soon as possible in the City of
Edgewater, Florida, in order to determine which form of government the citizens
of the City of Edgewater prefer; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the affairs of the City be carried out during
this interim period of time;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA
Section 1. That the City Clerk is hereby designated to assume the additional
administrative responsibilities and duties vested in the office of the City Manager
for a period until May 13, 1983. net-te-exeee9-x4eety-F994-4ays.
Section 2. That these temporarily designated duties and responsibilities do
not include any hiring or firing of department heads.
Section 3. Furthermore, these temporarily designated duties and responsibilities
do not include any hiring or firing without the recommendation of the supervisors
and/or department heads and prior notification to Council or the implementation
of any major changes in the present structure of City Government leaving the
existing state of affairs unchanged and bringing any problems for decision
before the City Council.
Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict here-
with be and the same are hereby repealed.

This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the
City Council and approved as required by law.
