83-R-56RESOLUTION NO. 83-R-56 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING CORNELIA A. KINSEY AS THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; SETTING FORTH HER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES; PROVIDING FOR HER COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the office of the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida became vacant on July 19, 1983, by virtue of the resignation of Nancy Blazi; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to appoint Cornelia A. Kinsey to the office of City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: Section 1. That pursuant to Section 44 of the Charter of the City of Edgewater, Florida, Cornelia A. Kinsey is hereby appointed as the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida. Section 2. That Cornelia A. Kinsey as City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida shall have all the duties, rights, obligations, and responsibilities as set forth in the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and the laws of the United States, and the State of Florida. Section 3• That in addition to all the duties specifically set forth in the Charter and the Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida, Cornelia A. Kinsey as the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, shall perform such additionally designated ex officio duties as well as financial and administrative responsibilities as the City Council of the City of Edgewater may direct by motion or resolution. Section 4. That Cornelia A. Kinsey as City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida shall be compensated on a salaried basis w in the amount of $ �t%©� per annum and fringe benefits aD as provided by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida. Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 6. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a ccd�/ meeting of said Council held on the 20th day of July, 1983, and approved as provided by law.
