81-R-32RESOLUTION NO. 81-R-32 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO EDIT THE TEXT OF THE PROPOSED COMP- REHENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, JULY 1979 EDITION, TO UPDATE SAID PLAN BY DELETING ALL GOAL REFERENCES TO YEARS "1979" AND "1980" AND TO INSERT IN LIEU THEREOF, 111981"; ORDERING THE ENGROSSING OF SAID PLAN, REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Edgewater was formally transmitted a copy of the "Comprehensive Plan of the City of Edgewater, Florida" during February 1981, after said plan had been prepared, amended and approved pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and WHEREAS, The Plan was written and presented in July 1979, and presents certain goals to be met by the City by 1979 and 1980 because the intent of the authors of said plan was that it should have been adopted by the governing body in 1979, and WHEREAS, It is the desire of the City Council to adopt said Comprehensive Plan consistent with the goals developed in the 1979 text, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the July 1979 proposed "comprehensive plan of the City of Edgewater, Florida, as recommended by the Planning Board of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and transmitted and approved by the required governmental entities pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, is hereby amended as follows: All references in said plan to the years "1979" and"1980" with regard to "Goals',' "Policies," or "Objectives," shall be deleted, and in lieu thereof shall be inserted the year "1981." SECTION 2. The City Clerk after due consultation with the City Attorney shall engross the official text of the "Comprehensive Plan of the City of Edgewater, Florida," prior to final approval of the implementing ordinance to reflect the above stated changes. a SECTION 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law. The Resolution was introduced by Mr..
