81-R-37j RESOLUTION NO. 81-R-37 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING WM CLAY HENDERSON AS CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLOR- IDA; PROVIDING FOR HIM TO BE COUNSELOR,.FOR THE CITY COUNCIL, CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD, ADVISORY BOARDS, AND THE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE MUNICIPALITY; PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES; PROVIDING A TERM OF OFFICE FOR SAID APPOINTMENT; REPEALING ALL RES- OLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, The City Council at its regular meeting on March 23, 1981, expressed its desire to appoint Clay Henderson as the permanent City Attorney for the City of Edgewater, Florida, and WHEREAS, Clay Henderson meets the qualifications of office as per Section 25 of the Municipal Charter of the City of Edgewater, in that he is admitted to and has the authority to appear in all of the court within the State of Florida, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That WM CLAY HENDERSON,ESQ., is hereby appointed as City Attorney for the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 2. That as a consequence of his appointment, the' City Attorney shall be the counselor for the City Council, the Code Enforcement Board, the municipal advisory board, and the officers and employees of the municipality. He shall exercise such authority as granted by the City Charter, Ordinances, and Resolutions, and shall work under the direction of the City Council. SECTION 3. That the City Attorney shall be compensated for the professional services which he renders to the City on such terms and conditions as may be established in the •anal Budget Resolution for the Legal Department of the City. SECTION 4. That the said City Attorney shall hold office until the Sine Die Adjournment of the City Council. SECTION 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and same are hereby repealed. Y t. SECTION 6. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
