Boehmer DESCRIPTION: Rebecca S. Begley is the owner of the property located at 2329 Travelers Palm Drive in Edgewater, Florida. The property has been found in violation of Section 10-234 (Doors) and Section 10-207 (Accessory Structures) of the City of Edgewater's Code of Ordinances. BACKGROUND: On November 18, 2016, Officer Boehmer received an anonymous complaint in reference to a privacy fence in disrepair and falling down on surrounding neighbors' properties. Upon arrival Officer Boehmer observed the privacy fence falling down in disrepair and also observed the bottom garage door panel missing, in its place was a sheet of plywood. A notice of violation was sent to the owner, asking them to repair/remove the fence as well as fix the bottom of the garage door. On December 5, 2016, Officer Boehmer re-inspected the property and found it to still be in violation. There has been no contact with the property owner or a designee. Citation (#5571) was issued/mailed to the property owner. The citation was issued for Section 10-234 (Doors) and 10-207 (Accessory Structures), _ with a fine of $75.00 dollars each, totaling $150.00. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Board find Rebecca S. Begley in violation of Section 10- 234 (Doors) and 10-207 (Accessory Structures) of the Code of Ordinances and assess the citation fine of $75.00 for each of the violations totaling $150.00. It is also requested that an additional fine of $50.00 per day, per violation (totaling $100.00) each day the violation exists past January 13, 2017 and for a lien to be placed on the property if not satisfied by January 18, 2017.
