A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RE-
SULTS OF A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, ON JULY 13, 1982; RE-
PEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RE-
SOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
WHEREAS, a special eleorjLnw s e in the City of Edgewater,
Florida, on July 13, 1982, for the purpose of approving or rejecting
a proposed new home rule charter and approving or rejecting an amend-
ment to the Charter of the City of Edgewater, Florida, which would
have called for a five -zone council instead of a four zone council;
and
WHEREAS all votes have been tabulated and confirmed;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the following votes were cast and tabulated con-
cerning the following questions as they appeared on the ballot at said
election:
Question.l. (New Home Rule Charter)
0 (09 (o votes for adoption of the New Home Rule Charter
8 13 votes against adoption of the New Home Rule Charter
Question 2. (Five -zone option)
40k votes for approval of the five -zone option
qb 3 votes against the five -zone option
SECTION 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption by the city council.
The first reading of the Resolution was read in full and passed
by a vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a
special meeting of said Council held on the 14th day of July, 1982, and
approved as provided by law.
