A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA,
APPOINTING A CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE CITY, PROVIDING
FOR AN AGREEMENT RELATING TO LEGAL SERVICES,
REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, there is a vacancy in the office of City Attorney by
virtue of resignation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint a successor to
act as legal advisor to the Mayor and City Council, the City
Manager, the Department Heads, and the Board and Commission Chair-
persons,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

SECTION 1. That C)5 E Q Ls hereby
appointed as City Attorney of the City of Edgewater, Florida, the day after
the effective date of this Resolution.
SECTION 2. That the above named City Attorney meets the qualifi-
cations for said office in that the individual is duly licensed to
practice law in all the Courts in the State of Florida, and is a
member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
SECTION 3. That the City Manager of the City of Edgewater is
authorized and directed to negotiate an agreement with the above
named City Attorney pursuant to representations made by said City
Attorney to the City Council, regarding terms and conditions of his
professional engagement, and to present such agreement to the City
Council for approval at the next meeting of the City .Council.
SECTION 4. The City Attorney shall exercise all powers and
authority as granted to that office by virtue of the Charter and
Ordinances of the City of Edge ater, and the Constitution and laws
of the State of Florida. In addi 'on, the City Attorney shall perform
such services as may be required by direction of the City Council.
SECTION 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same areherebyrepealed. n

SECTION 6. This resolution shall take. effectdi
adoption by the City Council and authentication] as provided by law.

the City Council of the City of EdgewateW Florida, a regular
meeting of said council held on then 4 day of , 1982,
