891ORDINANCE NO. 891 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A TENTATIVE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING REVENUES TO BE COLLECTED FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1974, AND ENDING SEPTE DIRER 30, 1975 TO THE VARIOUS ITEMS OF THE CITY BUDGET. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the following amount of monies are anticipated to be collected from the sources of revenue of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, during the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1974 and ending September 30, 1975, to -wit: ESTIMATED INCOME Taxes $142,258.00 Building permits 8,000.00 Electric permits 4,000.00 Plumbing permits 2,500.00 Mechanical permits 1,500.00 Business $ Occupational licenses 2,500.00 Beer, Wine, B Liquor 2,200.00 Fines $ Forfeitures 31,200.00 Miscellaneous 6,500.00 Cigarette tax 20,000.00 Franchise rebate 26,000.00 Community center 700.00 Garbage & Trash 65,000.00 Office rent 1,200.00 Surplus funds 53,800.00 State revenue sharing 90,000.00 Mobile home tags 5,500.00 County Occ. Lic. rebate 2,300.00 Construction account loan 35 00, 0.00, SECTION 2. That from the aforesaid anticipated monies to be collected from the sources of revenue as aforementioned, the purposes in the following amounte during the fiscal year be- ginning October 1, 1974 and ending September 30, 1975, to -wit: ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES General government 126,587.00 Garbage department 79,800.00 Road maintenance 38,690.00 Street paving Ia improvements 20,000.00 Tools i, barn equipment 500.00 Humane Society 1,200.00 Park maintenance 6 recreation 10,100.00 Streetlights 25,000.00 Police department 118,060.00 Fire department 16,800.00 Fire Hydrants 5,500.00 Emergency 6 Contingency 26,000.00 Community center 3,500.00 Library 4,800.00 Drainage 5,000.00 Capital outlay 100.00 Civil Defense 5,750.00 Administrator/Manager 11,000.00 Zoning and planning board 1,671.00 Equipment renewal & Replacement fund 100.00 $500,158.00 SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, be and she is hereby directed to appropriate such anticipated revenue as set forth in Section 1, herein to the respective purposes set forth in Section 2, herein as and when the above described and designated revenues are received and collected. SECTION 4. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in con- flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION S. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at the regular meeting of the Council held on the 3rd day of September, 1974, and approved as provided by law.
