A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PARTICIPATION
IN AND JOINING OF THE VOLUSiA GOVERNMENTAL
EMPLOYEES CREDIT UNION, DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA;
FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR PAYROLL
DEDUCTION; PROVIDING FOR COOPERATION OF THE
PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT; PROVIDING FOR WITHHOLDING
FINAL CHECK; PROVIDING FOR KEY PERSON; AND PRO-
VIDING WHEN THIS RESOLUTION SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
WHEREAS, the Volusia Governmental Employees Credit Union is a legally
established Credit Union, and
WHEREAS, The Board of Directors of said Credit Union voted to amend
the By-laws of said Credit Union to include all governmental employees in
Volusia County, Florida, and
WHEREAS, The other Municipalities in the County have indicated a desire
to join the Volusia Governmental Employees Credit Union,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City of Edgewater, Florida, hereby requests that its
employees be given the opportunity to join the Volusia Governmental Employees
Credit Union.
SECTION 2. That the Personnel Department is hereby instructed to cooperate
with the employees of the City of Edgewater desiring to join such Credit Union
in making payroll deductions and with the Volusia Governmental Employees
Credit Union concerning any employment changes.
SECTION 3. That in the event any employee terminates employment with the
City of Edgewater, Florida, and has a balance due and owing the Volusia Govern-
mental Employees Credit Union, the City Clerk is hereby instructed to set over
to the Credit Union any salaries which have or may be accrued by that employee.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk, or his duly designated representative, of
the City of Edgewater, Florida, shall serve as the key person (liaison officer)
for the City of Edgewater, Florida, and its employees with the Volusia Govern-
mental Employees Credit Union.

SECTION 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions and all ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6• That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and approval
as provided by law.
The first reading of the Resolution was read in full and passed by a vote of
the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a regular meeting of
said Council held on the %TA day of 1979, and approved
as provided by law.
