79-R-81RESOLUTION NO. 7j_ tl-,P I A RESOLUTION APPOINTING JOSEPH HERGET AS THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; SETTING FORTH HIS COMPENSATION; SETTING FORTH HIS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Joseph Herget is hereby appointed as City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, who shall serve during the pleasure of the City Countil. SECTION 2. That Joseph Herget shall have all of the duties, rights, obligations and responsibilities as set forth in the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and the laws of the United States and the State of Florida. SECTION 3. That in addition to all duties specifically set forth, Joseph Herget, as the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, shall perform such additional administrative duties as the City Council may from time to time direct by either motion or formal resolution. SECTION 4. That Joseph Herget shall be compensated at the rate of $11,000.00 per annum and shall, in addition, be entitled to any fringe benefits enjoyed by any other employee of the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 5. That Joseph Herget is hereby employed as City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, pursuant to a motion adopted by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, on August 21, 1979. SECTION 6. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 7. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and approval as provided by law.
