A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, APPOINTING RONNIE C.
AUSTIN AS PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT FOR
THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT; REPEALING ALL RESO-
LUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida, on the 12th day of January, 1987, appointed Ronnie C.
Austin as Public Works Superintendent of the City of Edgewater,
subject to a six (6) month probationary period, and
WHEREAS, Ronnie C. Austin has successfully completed his
six (6) month probationary period per City Council motion on
the 20th day of July, 1987, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, at its
regular meeting of August 3, 1987, by motion directed that
Ronnie C. Austin be appointed as Public Works Superintendent at
a salary of Twenty-two Thousand Dollars (E22,000,00), effective
July 26, 1987,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Ronnie C. Austin is hereby appointed as
Public Works Superintendent of the City of Edgewater, Florida,
SECTION 2: That Ronnie C. Austin, as Public Works Superin-
tendent of the City of Edgewater, Florida, will serve pursuant
to all the rights, duties, obligations and responsibilities as
set forth in the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City
of Edgewater, Florida, and the laws of the United States of
America, and the State of Florida.
SECTION 3: That Ronnie C. Austin will be compensated
at an annual salary of Twenty-two Thousand Dollars (E22,000,00)
and is hereby subject to the coverage of Ordinance No. 85-0-22,
as amended, the Management Salary and Benefit Plan, and
entitled to all rights and benefits contained therein,
SECTION 4: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5: That this Resolution shall take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption by the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida, at a meeting of said Council
held on the day of 198_, and approved as
provided by law.
This Resolution was introduced and sponsored by Councilman

Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a

ORD. 87-0-19 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA. AMENDING SECTION 15-3 AND 15-4, "CULVERTS UNDER DRIVEWAYS THAT
CROSS DRAINAGE DITCHES" AND "FILLING OR OBSTRUCTING CULVERTS" RESPECTIVELY,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, BY PROVIDING THAT THE
CONSTRUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF ALL CULVERTS BE DONE BY THE ENTITY RESPONSIBLE
UNDER A BUILDING PERMIT ISSUED BY THE CITY UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE SUPER-
INTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS; PROVIDING FOR A RIGHT OF WAY USE PERMIT; ESTAB-
LISHING AN INITIAL FEE; PROVIDING THAT NO CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY WILL ISSUE
UNLESS THE WORK HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE CITY OFFICIALS AND PROVIDING FOR THE
APPROVAL OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC WORKS; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION,
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Baugh stated
this is first reading. Councilman Prater moved they adopt Ordinance 87-0-19.
City Clerk Martinez noted there were some changes to be considered and City
Attorney Alvarez said they don't effect the title, and he has a new original
they can sign. City Clerk Martinez noted that Ron Austin questioned the grade
stakes be done by Public Works and City Attorney Alvarez said it will be any
aspect of this work. Councilman Prater included that in his motion. Councilman
Mitchum seconded the motion. Motion CARRIED 5-0.
Res 87-R-36 Appointing Ronnie C. Austin as Public Works Superintendent - Mayor
Baugh stated that he's requesting this be withdrawn and he wanted Council to
be aware of it.

Mayor Baugh requested a motion to adjourn. Councilman Prater so moved.
Councilman Mitchum seconded the motion. Meeting was adjourned at 7:53 P.M.
