AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE CITY BUDGET; AMENDING
THE CITY BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.2002-
0-15 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
2002 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2003, BY AMENDING A
CERTAIN REVENUE AND EXPENDITURE ITEM;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTING PROVISIONS,
SEVERABILITY AND APPLICABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR ADOPTION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, has made the following
determinations:
The City has reviewed the revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 2002 and ending September 30, 2003; and
2. It is necessary to amend a certain item of expenditure in the Budget as established by
Ordinance No. 2002-0-15; and
All applicable legal requirements pertaining to public notices and hearings have been
satisfied within specified deadlines and prior to final adoption of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the People of the City of Edgewater, Florida:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Edgewater has the authority to adopt this
Ordinance pursuant to Article VIII of the Constitution of the State of Florida and Chapter 166,
Florida Statutes.
SECTION 2. The city of Edgewater Budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2002
and ending September 30, 2003, as adopted by Ordinance No. 2002-0-15, is hereby amended as

(a) Increase of appropriation to the General Fund as follows:

SECTION3. Appropriations. There are expressly appropriated out of anticipated revenues
all funds and monies necessary to meet the supplemental appropriations stipulated by and in said
amended final budget.
SECTION4. CONFLICTING PROVISIONS.
All conflicting ordinances and resolutions, or parts thereof in conflict with this ordinance,
are hereby superseded by this ordinance to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY AND APPLICABILITY.
If any portion of this ordinance is for any reason held or declared to be unconstitutional,
inoperative, or void, such holding shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance. If this
ordinance or any provisions thereof shall be held to be inapplicable to any person, property, or
circumstances, such holding shall not affect its applicability to any other person, property, or
circumstance.

SECTION 6. EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon passage and adoption.
SECTION 7. ADOPTION.
After Motion by Councilwoman Lichter and Second by Councilwoman Rhodes, the vote on
the first reading/public hearing of this ordinance held on March 15, 2004, was as follows:
