86-R-13RESOLUTION NO. 86-R- 13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, APPOINTING LAWRENCE F. SCHUMAKER AS PERMANENT CHIEF OF POLICE FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR TERMS OF OFFICE; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater on the 9th day of August , 1985, appointed Lawrence F. Schumaker as Chief of Police for the City of Edgewater, subject to a six (6) month probationary period, and WHEREAS, Lawrence F. Schumaker has successfully completed his six (6) month probationary period as of February 9, 1986, and WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Edgewater, at its regular meeting of February 3, 1986 by motion, directed that Lawrence F. Schumaker be appointed as permanent Chief a' of Police at a salary of Twenty -Two Thousand Five Hundred 15 S 88) Dollars, effective February 10, 1986. L� N NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 39 of the Charter of the City of Edgewater, Florida, LAWRENCE F. SCHUMAKER, is hereby appointed as Chief of Police of the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 2. That LAWRENCE F. SCHUMAKER, as Chief of Police of the City of Edgewater, Florida, will serve pursuant to all the rights, duties, obligations and responsibilities as set forth in the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida, and the laws of the United States of America, and the State of Florida. SECTION 3. That LAWRENCE F. SCHUMAKER, will be compensated at an annual salary of Twenty -Two Thousand Five asp. 3'd".'i V v Hundred (42,404_= Dollars and is hereby subject to the Page 1 of 2 pages coverage of Ordinance 85-0-5 as amended, the Management Salary and Benefit Plan and entitled to all rights and benefits contained therein. SECTION 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 5.
