84-R-52RESOLUTION NO. 84-R-52 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ON OCTOBER 23, 1984; REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a primary election was held in the City of Edgewater, Florida, on October 23, 1984, for the purpose of electing a Mayor and Council Members for Zones 1, 3 and 4, respectively; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That the following candidates for Mayor and Council Member for Zones 1, 3 and 4 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, received the following votes: MAYOR: Earl D. Baugh 997 Robert H. Christy 346 David C. Ledbetter 445 ZONE 1: William F. Muller 371 Louis J. Rotundo 704 Melbourne F. Wargo 579 ZONE 3: Neil J. Asting 629 Frank Opal 566 John T. Wilbur 529 ZONE 4: Jim Inman 696 J. E. Richardson 590 Vincent Turano 367 SECTION 2. That pursuant to Section 140A of the Charter of the City of Edgewater, Florida, Earl D. Baugh shall be the only name placed on the ballot for the General Election to be held on November 6, 1984, for the office of Mayor of The City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, and That Louis J. Rotundo and Melbourne F. Wargo is/are hereby declared to be candidate(s) for Zone 1 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, for the General Election to be held on November 6, 1984 in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, and -I- That Neil J. Asting and Frank Opal is/are hereby declared to be the candidate(s) for Zone 3 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, for the general election to be held on November 6, 1984, in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, and That Jim Inman and J. E. Richardson is/are hereby declared to be the candidates) for Zone 4 of the City of Edgewater, Florida, for the general election to be held on November 6, 1984, in the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida. SECTION 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
