RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO VACATE THAT CERTAIN PORTION
OF FOURTEENTH STREET LYING BETWEEN LOTS 2131, BLOCK
48, AND LOT 2130, BLOCK 47, FLORIDA SHORES SUBDIVIS-
ION NUMBER 4, PER MAP BOOK 23, PAGE 104, OF THE PUBLIC
RECORDS OF VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR NO-
TIFICATION OF THE PROPOSED VACATION TO ALL AFFECTED
PROPERTY OWNERS; PROVIDING FOR A TIME AND PLACE AT
WHICH OBJECTIONS TO SAID VACATION CAN BE HEARD BEFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA;
REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Gary L. Hine and Mary A. Hine, the owners of Lots
2131, 2132 and 2133, Block 48, Florida Shores Subdivision Unit No.
4, according to plat in Map Book 23, page 104, of the Public Records
of Volusia County, Florida, have requested that the Edgewater City
Council vacate a portion of Fourteenth Street lying between Lots
2131, Block 48 and Lot 2130, Block 47, Florida Shores Subdivision No.
4 as per plat in Map Book 23, page 104, of the Public Records of
Volusia County, Florida,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That it is the intent of the City Council of the
City of Edgewater, Florida, to adopt an ordinance vacating that cer-
tain portion of Fourteenth Street lying between Lots 2131, Block 48
and Lot 2130, Block 47, Florida Shores Subdivision No. 4 as per plat
in Map Book 23, page 104, of the Public Records of Volusia County,
Florida.
SECTION 2. That all adjacent property owners who will be affected
by said vacation shall be personally or constructively served with a
copy of this Resolution.
SECTION 3. That any person or persons who may object to such
vacation may present their objections to the Edgewater City Council
at the Council's Regular Council meeting on Monday, May 5, 1980, at
7:00 p.m. at the Edgewater Community Center.
SECTION 9. That this Resolution shall be published once in a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of Edgewater, Florida,
as required by Section 112 of the Charter of the City of Edgewater,
Florida.
SECTION 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby rescinded.
SECTION 6. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption by the City Council and approval as provided by law.
The first reading of the Resolution was read in full and passed
by a vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a
