745ORDINANCE NO. 745 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 473 AND PROHIBITING AN UNAUTHORIZED PERSON TO CANVASS, PEDDLE, SOLICIT AND CONDUCT SURVEYS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to canvass, peddle; solicit or cause a survey to be made within the city limits of the City of Edgewater.unless said person, firm or corporation has obtained the permission of the City Council and it shall be expressed through a written statement of permission from the City Clerk. SECTION 2. That any person, firm or corporation violating the provisions of Section 1. hereof shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalties provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 473 be and the same is hereby repealed and rescinded. SECTION 4. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith and all Resolutions and parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a Regular Meeting of said Council held on March 6, 1972. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
