AN ORDINANCE HIRING AND EMPLOYING DALE
THOMAS KOERBER AS PATROLMAN FOR THE
CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, SETTING
FORTH THE CONDITIONS OF HIS EMPLOYMENT,
PROVIDING HE SHALL SERVE AT ALL TIMES
AT THE WILL OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
SETTING FORTH HIS SALARY, SETTING FORTH
HIS POWERS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES,
PROVIDING SAID EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE
SUBJECT TO A FAVORABLE PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
OF SAID EMPLOYEE, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Dale Thomas Koerber be and he is
hereby employed and hired as Patrolman for the City of
Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, he to serve at all
times at the will of the City Council.
SECTION 2. That the said Dale Thomas Koerber shall
receive as starting salary the sum of $475.00 per month
which shall be raised to the sum of $500.00 per month after
the said Dale Thomas Koerber has served a probationary
period of six months. The employment of the said Dale
Thomas Koerber is conditioned upon his furnishing to the
City of Edgewater a favorable physical examination, on forms
provided by the City of Edgewater and, the cost of said
physical examination to be borne by the said Dale Thomas
Koerber. The continued employment of the said Dale Thomas
Koerber shall be subject to his moving into the city limits
of Edgewater within his probationary period.
SECTION 3. Subject to the provisions contained
herein, the employment of the said Dale Thomas Koerber shall
commence January 8, 1972.
SECTION 4. That the said Dale Thomas Koerber as
Patrolman for the City of Edgewater shall have such duties,
powers and responsibilities as are provided under the
Constitution and laws of the State --of Florida and the Charter,
Ordinances and Resolutions of the City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 5. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances

and all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. That this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by
bote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 3rd day
of January, 1972.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading
was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final
passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 3rd day of January A.D., 1972, and approved as
provided by law; the vote of said Council upon roll call
being as follows:
