AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING
BARS AND COCKTAIL LOUNGES IN THE CITY
OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA TO REMAIN OPEN
UNTIL 4 A.M. ON DECEMBER 25, 1971
AND UNTIL 4 A.M. ON JANUARY 1, 1972,
FURTHER ALLOWING THE SALE OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING THESE
PERIODS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That all bars and cocktail lounges
doing business in the City of Edgewater, Florida be
and they are hereby authorized and allowed to remain
open and to sell and serve alcoholic beverages until
4 A.M. on December 25, 1971 and until 4 A.M. on
January 1, 1972.
SECTION 2. That this Ordinance in no way repeals
any existing Ordinances relating to the sale and
consumption of alcoholic beverages within the City
of Edgewater, Florida, but is passed specifically
for the purpose of allowing bars and cocktail lounges
in the City of Edgewater to remain open on Christmas
Day 1971 and on New Year's Day 1972.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed
by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on
the 20th day of December, 1971.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second
reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put
upon final passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City
of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said
