AN ORDINANCE CONFIRMING AND REAPPOINTING
HAROLD D. DOUNHOO AS CHIEF OF POLICE FOR
THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA; SETTING
FORTH HIS SALARY; PROVIDING HE SERVE AT
THE WILL OF THE CITY COUNCIL; DESIGNATING
HIS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND
SETTING FORTH AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Harold D. Dounhoo be and he is hereby
confirmed and reappointed as Chief of Police for the City
of Edgewater, Florida, he to serve at the will of the City
Council and to receive as compensation the sum of Five
Hundred and Fifty ($550.00) Dollars per month.
SECTION 2. That the said Harold D. Dounhoo shall
perform such duties as are given to him by the City Council
and he shall have all powers given to policemen under the
Constitution and Laws of the State of Florida and the Charter,
Ordinances and Resolutions of the City of Edgewater, Florida.
SECTION 3. That said confirmation and reappointment
contained herein is subject to the said Harold D. Dounhoo
successfully completing the balance of his original probationary
period.
SECTION 4. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances
and all Resolutions and parts of Resolutions in conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by
vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida
at a Regular Meeting of said Council held on the 15th day
of November A.D., 1971.
Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the
requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading
was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final
nit
passage.
Passed by vote of the City Council of the City of
Edgewater, Florida at a Regular Meeting of said Council
held on the 15th day of November A.D., 1971, and approved
as provided by law; the vote of said Council upon roll
call being as follows:
