700ORDINANCE NO. 700 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A TENTATIVE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING REVENUES TO BE COLLECTED FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, VOLUSIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING NOVEMBER 1, 1971 AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1972 TO THE VARIOUS ITEMS OF THE CITY BUDGET. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDAi SECTION 1. That the following amount of monies are anticipated to be collected from the sources of revenue of the City of Edgewater, Volusia County, Florida, during the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1971 and ending October 31, 1972, to wit, ESTIMATED INCOME From Surplus Funds 10,000 Taxes 93,450 Building Permits 1.500 Electric Permits 900 Plumbing Permits 500 Business & Occupational Licenses 8,000 Beer, Wine & Liquor Licenses 1.900 Fines and Forfeitures 15,000 Miscellaneous 3,000 Cigarette Tax 58,000 Franchise Rebate 14,000 Community Center 800 Garbage and Trash Collections 37,000 Office and Storage Space Rental 1,200 245,250 SECTION 2. That from the aforesaid anticipated monies to be collected from the sources of revenue as aforementioned, the same be and they are hereby appropriated to the following purposes in the following amounts during the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1971 and ending October 31, 1972, to wit, ESTIMATED EXPENDITURES General Government 53,700 Garbage & Trash Departments 40,500 Road Maintenance 35,500 Barn Equipment & Tools 1,000 Street Paving and Improvements 6,000 Humane Society 1,200 Park Maintenance and Recreation 8,200 Street Lights 11,000 Police Department 50,400 Fire Department 7,200 Fire Hydrants 5,200 Emergency and Contingency 2,000 Library 8,900 Community Center 2.050 Drainage 11,100 Capital Outlay 100 Civil Defense 100 Administrator 100 Equipment Replacement Fund 1,000 245,250 qpb I SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Edgewater, Florida, be and she is hereby directed to appropriate such anticipated revenue as set forth in Section 1, herein to the respective purposes set forth in Section 2. herein as and when the above described and designated revenues are received and collected. SECTION 4. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. The first reading of the above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at the Regular meeting of the Council held on the 20th day of September, A.D., 1971 and approved as provided by law. The second reading of said Ordinance to be at the Regular Meeting of the City Council to be held on October 4th, 1971.
