6960 ORDINANCE NO. 696 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 661 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, RE -DEFINING THE NUMBER OF HOURS THAT PATROLMEN AND POLICEMEN FOR THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA MUST WORK BEFORE RECEIVING OVER TIME PAY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREFOR, EXCLUDING THE CHIEF OF POLICE BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 661 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Edgewater, Florida, which shall be amended to read as follows: SECTION .3. A Patrolman or Policeman for the City of Edgewater, Florida excluding the Chief of Police, shall be considered as having worked over time when said Patrolman or Policeman works more than forty (40) hours per week. Over time pay for any Patrolman or Policeman shall be calculated by dividing 173.2 into said Patrolman's or Policeman's monthly salary to ascertain the rate of overtime pay per hour of over time worked. SECTION ',L That all other sections or parts of Ordinance No. 661 that have not been specifically amended herein shall re- main in full force and effect. SECTION 1. That this Ordinance shall take effect September 1, 1971. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 2nd day of August A.D., 1971. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the require- ment of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
