676ORDINANCE NO. 676 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING BARS IN THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO REMAIN OPEN FROM 12:01 P.M. ON DECEMBER 24, 1970, UNTIL 2 A.M. ON DECEMBER 25, 1970 AND FROM 12:01 P.M. ON DECEMBER 31, 1970 UNTIL 4 A.M. ON JANUARY 1. 1971, AND FURTHER ALLOWING THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING THESE PERIODS. BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That all bars doing business in the City of Edgewater, Florida, be and they are hereby authorized and allowed to remain open to sell and serve alcoholic beverages from 12:01 P.M. on December 24, 1970, until 2 A.M. on December 25, 1970, and from 12:01 P.M. on December 31, 1970, until 4 A.M. on January 1, 1971. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance in no way repeals any existing Ordinances relating to the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages within the City of Edgewater, Florida, but is passed specifically for the purpose of allowing bars in Edgewater to remain open on the eve of Christmas, 1970, and on the eve of New Years, 1971. SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. The above Ordinance was read in full and passed by vote of the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, at a Regular Meeting of said Council held on the 21st day of December A.D., 1970. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the requirement of reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived and the Ordinance was ordered put upon final passage.
